Join Us for a Heartwarming Day at the Second Annual Haven – JHS Bookstore Event!
Come one, come all to a special community event filled with books, pets, and smiles! On **Saturday, May 11th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Haven for Animals and the JHS Bookstore in Foley are excited to invite everyone to our Second Annual Haven – JHS Bookstore Celebration, located at the charming JHS Bookstore.
Get ready to meet your new best friend as The Haven’s mobile adoption unit introduces adorable dogs ready for their forever homes. Each dog will have their moment to shine on the red carpet, showcasing their unique personalities. This event is not only a fantastic opportunity for Foley-area residents to adopt a loving pet from our award-winning shelter but also a fun day out for the whole family.
We are proud to dedicate this year’s event to the memory of Dr. Diane Camilleri, a remarkable veterinarian and a beloved figure in our community. Dr. Camilleri’s husband, Mr. John Soderberg, owner of the JHS Bookstore, established the Dr. Diane Camilleri Rescue Fund in her honor. “It’s a tribute to my late wife and her lifelong dedication to animal welfare,” says Mr. Soderberg.
The bookstore will be open for you to explore a variety of books, collectibles, and other intriguing items. Plus, we’ll have free refreshments, door prizes, and plenty of activities for kids to enjoy.
Don’t miss out on this heartfelt gathering at the JHS bookstore, located at 14965A State Road 59, just 2 1⁄2 miles north of the Highway 98 and AL-59 intersection. Follow the Pet Adoption signs and bring the whole family to an event where community, compassion, and care come together.
