The Haven is proud to once again participate in BISSELL Pet Foundation’s National Empty the Shelters adoption event, running May 1–15, 2025! During this limited-time event, adoption fees for all pets will be reduced to just $70, giving more pets the chance to find loving homes while still receiving the same thorough adoption process and lifelong support from our team.
Empty the Shelters is BISSELL Pet Foundation’s largest lifesaving effort. Since its launch, the event has helped over 200,000 pets across the country find families. By lowering adoption fees, the foundation helps remove barriers and ease overcrowding in shelters like ours—at a time when intake numbers typically spike due to warmer weather and an increase in stray and owner-surrendered pets.

Our adoption process remains the same to ensure the best match between each pet and adopter. All potential adopters will complete our standard application and meet with a team member to find the right fit for their home and lifestyle.
