Thanks to a $10,000 grant from the ASPCA, adoption fees will be waived for eligible adult cats and dogs
6 months of age and older during three special adoption periods.
Help us place 51 deserving adult pets into loving homes while creating space and resources for the next homeless animal in need.

Why Adopt During the ASPCA Rescue Effect?
Like many animal shelters across the country, The Haven continues to see families facing increasing financial pressures, including the rising cost of veterinary care. Through the ASPCA Rescue Effect, adoption fees are waived to remove one financial barrier for families who are ready to welcome a pet into their home.
Waiving an adoption fee does not change The Haven’s adoption standards. Every prospective adopter completes our standard application and approval process, and our Adoption Team works with families to help identify pets whose personalities, energy levels, and needs are a good fit for their homes.
Every adoption does more than change one life. It opens valuable kennel space, staff time, and medical resources so another homeless pet can receive shelter, care, and a second chance.
