The Haven No-Kill Animal Shelter is bringing its fan-favorite “Rescues & Runways” event back to downtown Fairhope this weekend — and if last year is any indication, you won’t want to miss it.
Join us at Greer’s Fairhope Market (75 S. Section St.) on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., right in the heart of the Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival.
What Is “Rescues & Runways”?
It’s part adoption event, part celebration — and entirely unforgettable. Our signature red carpet runway puts adoptable dogs and puppies in the spotlight while our emcee chats with team members, volunteers, community partners, and the pets themselves, sharing each animal’s unique personality and story.
Whether you’re ready to adopt or just looking for a feel-good afternoon, “Rescues & Runways” is the place to be.

All pets adopted through The Haven come fully prepared for their new home:
- Spayed or neutered
- Vaccinated
- Microchipped
- Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention included
- Dogs tested for heartworms — and treated if positive

Brittany Church, owner of Dog Training by Brittany and a dedicated Haven volunteer, will be on site both days to offer hands-on guidance for new and prospective adopters. Brittany regularly donates her time at The Haven, working one-on-one with shelter dogs to build basic skills and improve their adoptability while they wait for their forever homes.
