Stella’s story is one of patience, resilience, and hope.
She arrived at The Haven in October 2024—a beautiful 5-year-old black and brindle Labrador mix with a playful spirit and endless energy. From the moment she arrived, Stella quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite. She greeted everyone with a wagging tail, bright eyes, and an eagerness to love. 
Stella needed a home where she could be the only dog. That one requirement made her wait longer than most—15 months in total. While other dogs came and went, Stella remained hopeful, greeting each new day with the same joyful spirit, trusting that her family would find her.
In January 2026, that day finally came.
Stella was adopted into a loving home with devoted parents and a wonderful human brother who enjoys running and playing with her in their spacious yard. Now the princess of the household, Stella has claimed her favorite place in bed beside Mom and Dad and her own special spot on the sofa during family movie nights. Her days are filled with the love, comfort, and belonging she waited so patiently to find.
