Everything Fairhope pet owners need to know about licensing their pets and keeping rabies vaccinations up to date.

Pet License

All dogs and cats within the City of Fairhope must wear a collar with a numbered license tag.

Pet licenses cost $1.25 each and serve as an important means of identification.

Available at Fairhope City Hall, 161 North Section Street, Fairhope.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rabies Vaccination

All dogs and cats older than three months must be vaccinated against rabies.

Pets must be re-vaccinated annually, or every three years with an approved three-year vaccine.

Failure to vaccinate or license your pet may result in fines or penalties.
