Dorothy and her friends the Scarecrow, Tinman, Cowardly Lion and yes Toto too turned out to walk in The Haven's 9th Annual Mystic Mutts of Revelry Pet Parade. Over 700 dogs and humans skipped down the imaginary "yellow brick road" all in an effort to help The Haven continue creating a no-kill community.
"Particpants told us the day of the event that they planned months in advance to attend our annual "fun" raiser and are already wanting to know what next year's theme will be." says chairperson Aimee Egbert.

The 
Mystic Mutts of Revelry Parade, the first walking Mardi Gras Pet Parade in Fairhope, lead by and for the canine population, is ready to sniff the streets of Fairhope for the ninth year on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Every year MMOR donations from our sponsors, registered parade walkers, MMOR merchandise and our Royalty bidders’ donations, all go directly to benefit The Haven, Baldwin County's no-kill, non-profit animal shelter!
The 2012 MMOR Parade will start at The Fairhoper’s Community Park promptly at 2:30 p.m. and proceed on the half-mile route through the downtown Fairhope area.

Only registered Krewe Mutts and their Escorts are eligible to be a part of the parade. You can also participate without parading, and support our worthwhile cause benefiting homeless animal rescue and adoption, just by dropping by our Hospitality tent with your donation.
Registration is conducted inside the large tent which opens to all at 11a.m. Registering to be in the parade as a “Krewe Mutt” is open to all well behaved, leashed, currently vaccinated dogs. Day-of-parade registration (Feb. 11) at The Fairhoper Community Park is $25. Registration includes one dog and two human escorts (one escort should be an adult.) Every registered Krewe Mutt can have more household members walk with them for an additional $5 per escort and $5 per mutt, and their escorts under age 12 are not subject to any donation requirement.
For a $75 donation at registration, your Mutt can become “Majestic!”. Space is limited, so it’s “First come, first served.” Check out our Facebook Page, or The Haven website:www.havenforanimals.org, to see parade route. More information regarding registration will posted soon.
